Ask the Estimator

Real questions, answered weekly, with the page that answers them in full.

What is Ask the Estimator?

A public, weekly log of real questions received by phone and through the estimate form, anonymized, with a short answer and a link to the page that answers it in full. Entries begin the week the phone number and form go live; nothing here is invented to fill space. The log feeds the FAQ pages and, when a question earns it, a new guide. An RSS feed is at /feed.xml.

Each entry carries the week, the locality (never the address), the service, the question as asked, the short answer and the canonical link. Questions that reveal a gap in the site get a page.

No entries yet. The first entries are posted the week the Sarasota Concrete phone number and form go live (see OWNER-INPUTS in the project for what's pending).

Question as askedOur travertine is flaking along the pool. Is it the salt system?
Short answerProbably. Unsealed travertine at a salt pool's waterline flakes as salt crystallizes in the stone. Seal the coping annually with a penetrating product, rinse weekly, and replace the worst pieces.
