How long does a repair take?
Most repairs are a half day to three days. Slab lifting is done in hours and usable the same day; spall patching needs a day to cure; a panel replacement is a small pour with a 7-day cure. Storm-damage assessments are scheduled first and documented for the insurer before any work starts.
Diagnosis first
Every repair call starts with three tools: a 4-foot level across the slab to find the settlement, a hammer to sound for hollow base, and a hose to see where the water goes. In Sarasota County the answer is usually water. A downspout dumping onto the base, a swale that stopped draining, or a sprinkler line leaking under the slab washes fines out of the sand and the slab follows them down. Fixing the crack without fixing the water is a job you'll pay for twice.

Can a cracked driveway be repaired or does it have to be replaced?
Cracks under a sixteenth of an inch with no offset are sealed and watched. Cracks with a step, panels that rock, or more than a couple of cracks per panel mean the base failed, and a repair is paint over rust. The diagnosis on site is a level, a hammer and a hose.
Does slab lifting work on sandy soil?
Polyurethane foam injection lifts and fills voids well in sand as long as the void isn't being fed by water; if the base washed out because of a drainage problem, the drainage gets fixed first or the slab settles again. Mudjacking is heavier and less precise and isn't used here.
What is spalling and why does it show up on coastal pool decks first?
Spalling is the surface flaking off in scales. Chloride from salt pools and Gulf spray reaches the reinforcement or simply weakens the top paste; freeze isn't the cause here, salt and a wet finish are. A spalled deck is resurfaced if the slab underneath is sound.
Can a trip hazard in a walkway be ground down?
