What does a paver driveway cost in Nokomis?
About $14 to $22 per square foot installed, so a 520-square-foot driveway in Toscana Isles or Bellacina runs roughly $7,300 to $11,400 plus $1,000 to $2,100 for demolition of the builder slab and the apron under a county right-of-way use permit. What's different about driveways in Nokomis & Laurel
The new communities east of I-75 (Toscana Isles, Bellacina by Casey Key, Talon Preserve, Vicenza, Milano) came with broom driveways and strict color lists, and pavers are the upgrade neighbors already made. The lots are imported fill placed by the developer in thick lifts, which settles for years, so the driveway gets its own 6 inches of compacted base in three lifts over geotextile rather than trust in the fill. Well water east of the interstate means heads moved and a sealed field. Calusa Lakes and Sorrento East, older and on native sand, get the same base and fewer color rules.
Nokomis Beach and the Casey Key south end add the salt cycle.

A worked example
A 2019 Toscana Isles home with a 520-square-foot builder driveway. Scope: demolition, geotextile under 6 inches of base in three compacted lifts, 45-degree herringbone in the light tan blend on the ARC list with a charcoal soldier course, a concrete edge at the street line, apron in pavers under the county ROW permit, irrigation heads turned away from the surface, polymeric joint sand and a sealer 30 days later. ARC approval three weeks. Planning band: $8,500 to $12,000.
Why not lay pavers on the developer's compacted fill?
Because fill placed in thick lifts keeps settling for years, and a driveway laid on it follows. Six inches of base compacted in 3-inch lifts on top of the fill is what keeps the field flat through the first wet seasons.
