What does a paver pool deck cost on Siesta Key?
Concrete pavers about $13 to $16 per square foot and travertine $20 to $26, plus 5 to 15 percent for island logistics (bridge timing, staging on small lots, concrete curbs at exposed edges), so a 700-square-foot deck lands near $10,000 to $12,500 in pavers or $15,000 to $20,500 in stone before demolition, coping and drains.

What's different about pool decks in Siesta Key
Every Siesta deck is in AE or VE, most within a few hundred yards of salt water, and most stood in surge in 2024. The base is built for that: geotextile, 4 inches compacted in lifts, a concrete curb on every edge the water can reach, and a field that can be lifted, flushed and reset. Salt pools are common; travertine coping is sealed annually or the owner picks porcelain or dense pavers. Lighting is amber and shielded from the first fixture.
Canal streets (Sabal Drive, Palm Island, Bayou Louise) get bay water at the seawall; the Gulf side (Beach Road, Midnight Pass north) gets spray and the setback line.

Should a Siesta Key deck be pavers or concrete after 2024?
Pavers on a rebuildable base, in nearly every case. A poured deck that sat in surge with voids under it is replaced; a paver field is lifted, the base fixed and the same pavers reset. That's the difference between a claim and a weekend.
