What does a paver pool deck cost in Port Charlotte?
Concrete pavers about $13 to $16 per square foot and travertine $20 to $26, so a 600-square-foot deck runs roughly $7,800 to $9,600 in pavers or $12,000 to $15,600 in stone; coping and drains are separate lines, plus Charlotte County's permit fees ($22 zoning review, $22 or $90 slab review, $310 line and grade) and a recorded Notice of Commencement.

What's different about pool decks in Port Charlotte
Port Charlotte's canal neighborhoods (Gulf Cove, South Gulf Cove, Grassy Point, Harbour Heights) want decks that handle brackish spray and salt pools: dense concrete pavers or porcelain, or travertine with the annual coping rule, on a base with a concrete curb at the seawall. The 1970s and 80s grid (Section 15, Murdock, Deep Creek) has decks poured tight to the shell that get demolished and re-laid. Charlotte County permits every paver deck and inspects it; the NOC goes on record before the first inspection.
Cages are original aluminum on the grid and anchors go into a new curb.

Scope: demolition, base rebuilt in lifts over geotextile, linear drain, porcelain bullnose coping, light 2 cm porcelain field on a re-screeded bed, concrete curb at the seawall and cage line, polymeric sand. No sealing line on the care sheet. Planning band: $16,500 to $21,000 including fees.
Why porcelain on a Port Charlotte canal?
Because the pool is salt, the canal is brackish and the owner is seasonal: porcelain needs no sealing, doesn't etch and doesn't flake at the waterline. Travertine would need an annual coping seal the owner isn't here to schedule.
